I began teaching at Edgewood College in 2006. I earned bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Life Sciences Communication and a Ph.D. in Mass Communication from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and worked for about 10 years as a communications manager and public information officer for organizations like the Sierra Club, the state Department of Natural Resources, and the Madison/Dane County Public Health Department. I continue to consult on applied communication projects for these and other community organizations.
At Edgewood I teach intercultural communication, writing for the media, mass communication campaigns, and our senior capstone course. I feel lucky to have been able to stay in my native Wisconsin and to be a part of the Edgewood College community.
