Thomas Jaime is a PhD candidate in the School of Journalism and Mass Communication at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. His research focuses on the intersection of conspiracy theories, journalism and politics in the social media age. He holds a master's degree in Communication and Leadership Studies from Gonzaga University and earned his bachelor's degree in Film Studies from the University of California at Santa Barbara. He has taught at Edgewood College since 2014.

Prior to coming to Madison for his doctorate, he worked in Human Resources for the City of Santa Barbara and then as an analyst in homeless services for the City of Santa Monica. He was born and raised in San Diego and despite having lived in Southern California his whole life and never truly experiencing a winter before moving to Madison in 2012, he loves the city and considers it home for himself, his wife and his two young Wisconsinite children.
